FAQ
- How far do you travel?
Depending on the commission, Richard will travel as far and wide as his clients require. He regularly undertakes work across the Britain Isles, and has worked in France, Australia, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg and Ireland in the past.
- Do you do all-inclusive pricing for a project or commission?
Fees are always negotiable and Richard believes in pricing transparency. Call him to discuss your project and budget considerations.
- Can I have all the images that you take from a shoot?
You will receive a comprehensive professional edit from your shoot. Images that don't make the grade won't make your inbox!
- What kit do you use?
Throughout his career, Richard has consistently used Canon Pro cameras and lenses for both stills and video. For aerial work, he uses DJI professional drones. If you like to talk kit, give him a call!
- How do you deliver photographs and video after a shoot?
Delivery is always the simplest and easiest method for the client. Options can include wetransfer or dropbox; or for larger amounts of data (e.g., film) this can be written to a memory stick. But if you have specific delivery requirements, just advise and Richard will deliver accordingly.
- How many amendments are included in a film / video project?
Depending on the length of project, two or three adjustments are normal. However, additional amendments can always be discussed - just keep in mind that such work takes time and may come with an addiitonal fee. Having said all of that - Richard works closely with his clients to ensure a brief is comprehensive and understood, meaning the process is usually pretty seamless.
- Are you insured?
Yes. Richard holds both public liability and professional indemnity insurances that cover all work. He also holds bespoke additional insurance for the use of a drone, this conforms to Civil Aviation Authority legal requirements. Please call or email for any additional information if you need it.
- How soon can you turn around photographs / video after a commission?
Photography can be wired from location allowing the strictest deadlines to be met (e.g., in a breaking news situation or live sport scenario) but a normal turnaround for a photographic assignment is next day. Deadlines are always agreed with a client ahead of a shoot. For video/film, the editing process is longer. With short, less complicated video, it can be possible to deliver within 48 hours - but three to five days is normal. Again, deadlines are agreed in advance with a client and if you have a very short turn around time, call Richard and he will advise whether he can assist.
- What's your availability?
Richard manages his diary day to day, week to week and is as flexible as he can be to meet client requirements. Call or email to find out his current availability. Due to the nature of his work, he also undertakes commissions on weekends, in the evening and during holiday periods to meet client requirements.
- Do you do weddings?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! But Richard can recommend the excellent wedding photographer who documented his own special day! Call him for details.
